Bunso or Aburi for a family nature day?

Choose between a garden-led Aburi visit and Bunso’s activity options using your children’s interests and confirmed participation rules.

Choose the kind of participation

An Aburi garden day can centre on walking, looking and resting together. Bunso may appeal more when your family wants a specific organised activity. Start with how the children like to spend time, then check what is currently available at your preferred site.

Avoid promising a canopy experience before confirming age, height or other participation rules directly with the operator.

Plan for the child who opts out

Siblings don't always want the same activity. Ask whether an adult can stay with a child who decides not to participate, and where everyone can meet afterwards. Budget for the confirmed activities rather than assuming every child will do everything.

A short shared walk and a meal may be a better common plan than a full package. Leave the more adventurous part optional where the operator allows it.

Compare the journey from home

Use the family's actual starting point when choosing between Bunso Eco Park and Aburi Botanical Gardens. Include food breaks and the drive home, not only the route to the entrance.

Choose one site for the day. Trying to compare both in person can leave children with more time in the car than outdoors. Save the other option for a trip built around it.
