Choose accommodation around your planned outings

Compare hotel locations using your actual appointments, evening routine and repeated transfers instead of room photographs alone.

Map the places you will visit repeatedly

List fixed appointments, likely meals and the starting point of any tours. A hotel that looks central on a broad map may still create inconvenient journeys for your particular trip.

Prioritise the transfers you'll repeat over a one-off attraction you may not visit.

Compare the evening routine

Decide whether you want to eat at the accommodation, walk to a nearby option where appropriate or arrange transport each evening. Ask about actual facilities and current surroundings.

Include transfers in the total cost comparison. A cheaper room can require more spending and coordination elsewhere.

Check arrival and departure details

Ask about check-in, luggage storage and access at your arrival time. Confirm the exact address and entrance before travelling.

Use Explore to locate the places that interest you, then choose a base that supports that pattern. Don't book solely because a hotel is described as being “in Accra” or “near the beach.” Those labels cover more ground than a useful daily routine.

Rules, fees and opening hours change. Confirm anything that matters before you rely on it.
