About Outxie
A plan you can use on the day
Outxie is a digital planning notebook for days out and trips in Ghana. You keep the stops, the budget, the checklists and the travel details in one place, and you share the whole thing with a single link.
Why it exists
Planning an outing in Ghana usually means holding the plan in four places at once: a note on your phone, a group chat, a screenshot of somebody’s prices, and a rough idea of how long the drive takes. The information exists, but it is scattered. An entrance fee is buried in a comment. The opening hours are two years old. Nobody knows whether the total fits the budget until the day itself.
Outxie puts it on one page. Prices are labelled as estimates, because that is what they are, and a figure we do not know is left as a range rather than invented. Distances are between the stops you actually chose. The budget is the one you set, not a package somebody is selling you.
The planner, which is free
Start with one of seven templates: a day out, a night out, a date, friends, solo, family or a full trip. Add stops from a catalogue of 162 curated places across Ghana, from Accra and Cape Coast to Kumasi, Tamale, the Volta hills and the western coast, each with a price band and a local note. Set a budget in cedis and watch it shape the plan as you go. Keep the details that get forgotten: who is driving, what to bring, what time to leave.
The catalogue is a starting point rather than a boundary. If you have found somewhere yourself, on a blog, in a group chat or by driving past it, add the name and the address and it becomes a stop like any other. Your own research sits in the same plan, the same budget and the same shared link as everything we curated.
Then send one link. Everybody sees the same plan, and nobody has to install anything.
Premium Plus, when a trip needs a person
A notebook is enough for a Saturday. A two-week trip with four people and a fixed budget is a different problem, and that is what Premium Plus is for. It is thirty days with a human planner, and it includes:
- A 30-minute consultation, so your planner knows your pace, your budget and the things you would rather avoid.
- A dedicated human planner who works on your request, not a template with your name on it.
- Four personalised plans in the thirty-day period, one being worked on at a time.
- Accommodation shortlists with booking links, so you can see what fits before you book it yourself.
- Revisions and messages for the whole period, so a change does not mean starting again.
It is USD 79.99 as a single payment for one 30-day period. It does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel and no charge waiting at the end of the month. Travel and accommodation are paid directly to the providers you choose. Outxie does not book, reserve or hold funds, and the booking links are links rather than reservations.
What we are trying to do
Planning a trip in West Africa is often harder than taking it. Prices are quoted in a currency you do not use, distances are optimistic, and half the useful information lives in somebody’s comment thread from three years ago.
We want the logistics to be the calm part. That means honest estimates instead of confident guesses, distances that reflect the road, and a plan a group can agree on without forty messages. And it means being clear about what Outxie is not: we do not book, reserve or hold funds, we take no commission from any venue, and nothing on this site is for sale except the planning itself.
